Holly Golightly Bubble Bar

If there was any product in this year's Christmas range that was going to win an award for it's design, this bubble bar would be it. I don't think it would matter what fragrance it sported, how much it was sold for, or even if it worked efficiently in the bath, it was far too beautiful for me to ignore.

What makes it even more perfect is that Holly Golightly shares it's scent with Hot Toddy Shower Gel - meaning that not only does it sport a fragrance that is the epitome of Christmas, but one that can be used alongside the seasonal shower gel and produce the perfect winter bathing experience that you'll want to relive over and over and over.

Boasting an array of wintery ingredients, Lush have really gone all out to produce a product that not only smells good enough to eat, but one that helps to soak away those winter chills and leave you feeling like a God/Goddess. Sporting a combination of clove leaf, patchouli and cinnamon leaf oils, with the addition of benzoin resinoid to boot, Holly Golightly offers up a wonderfully rich, wintery aroma.
The top note in this bubble bar is cinnamon - a strong, spicy aroma that compliments the lime and sweet orange oil that sits beneath it. These latter ingredients give the bubble bar a well-rounded fruity scent that smells very similar to old-fashioned coca cola. Altogether these different layers of scent make this a full-bodied and very warming fragrance - perfect for those bitter winter nights.

Boasting an impressive array of ingredients, this bubble bar is designed to warm up even the most rigid of bodies, and moisturise the skin while leaving you smelling good enough to eat. Holly Golightly does exactly that - filling your tub with an impressive amount of soft, silky bubbles that you'll want to cocoon yourself in.

As if the bubble bar wasn't already perfect in my eyes, it goes and offers up a vibrant and colourful surprise when you begin to crumble it into the bath. While the outside is decorated with a thin layer of silver lustre, the interior offers a vivid shade of green that turns the water a stunning colour. While you'd normally associate Christmas with the many shades of red, this bubble bar offers a unique alternative, and given that my all-time favourite colour is green, I cannot argue that it's anything less than perfect.

After a long hard day at work, you want something that's going to feel like a well-deserved hug, and Holly Golightly does exactly this. The scent is strong enough to last throughout the entire bathing experience, and the bubbles remain a prominent feature until the very end.

In all fairness, this bubble bar is one of those perfect products that I just cannot get enough of. The size of it means that you'll easily get three good quality baths out of a single bar, making it exceptional value for money. While I didn't think a bubble bar could get any better than Christmas Kisses, Holly Golightly has surpassed all expectations and sets itself apart as one of my favourite products from this year, and definitely one of my all-time favourite bath time cosmetics.

  2. Does this leave any of the glitter on your skin after using it? I'm just starting to get my boyfriend into bath bombs and the like and while this would be a perfect fragrance for him, leftover glitter would be a no-go hahaha.

    1. It won't stay on your skin if you rinse yourself after bathing :)
